Commercial Building Inspection

Commercial Building Inspection

We inspect and analyze properties to support you in your investment decisions:

  • Protect your investment
  •  Avoid unexpected repairs
  • Identify maintenance areas and potential problems

Areas of Inspection

We’ll review the building and prepare a report describing each component, and summarizing the condition that we observe:

  • Site & Grounds
  • Structure
  • Exterior Walls
  • Roofing
  • Heating, Ventilating & Air-Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Insulation
  • Interior Components
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Specialized inspections for other equipment

We can also just inspect one component, such as the structure.

Quotations

We will give you a fixed price for an evaluation, but first we need to understand the building to be inspected:

  • Type of property
  • Size (Number of units, square footage, etc.)
  • Age of building
  • Condition (send us a Property Condition statement, or similar)

We also need to understand the extent of the inspection desired, so that we can tailor the inspection to your needs.  As an example, if an electrical contractor is already working on a quotation for providing the electrical upgrades you need, we don’t need to inspect that component and can therefore reduce the price.  A checklist can be provided so that you can check the building components you want inspected, and the type of inspection for each.  We can send you our Inspection Quote Form (pdf format) or just step you through the questions over the phone.

Properties Evaluated

Properties of all common descriptions are evaluated, including:

  • Apartment Buildings
  • Industrial
  • Retail
  • Office
  • Institutional
  • Mixed use
